Hiring a high-quality wedding DJ is the single best investment in wedding reception success, according to a new surveys.

A survey of over 500 recent brides revealed that music and entertainment played a more pivotal role in the success of a wedding reception than all other factors combined. Nearly six-in-ten responding brides named "entertainment" over such factors as food and facility choices as the key factor in determining the outcome of their wedding receptions.

At the same time, recent brides listed "entertainment" as one of the least expensive budget items in their wedding receptions. The average entertainment tally of $1,000+ represented less than five percent of wedding reception budgets of those surveyed.

This confirms my longstanding belief that sound decisions are essential when selecting an entertainment provider.

Trimming a few dollars from the entertainment cost doesn't change the overall budget much at all, but a decision to choose a lower-tier entertainer can severely impact event success.

Since you don't always get what you pay for, selecting a known and reputable wedding entertainment provider is the best bet for ensuring wedding reception success.
